The House Oversight Committee has published a collection of roughly 70 photographs secured from the holdings of late adjudicated sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

This represents the third such disclosure from a larger collection of over 95,000 photos the committee has secured from Epstein's holdings. It features images of quotes from the literary work Lolita scrawled across a woman's body, and obscured images of women's international passports.

This release comes just hours before the 19th of December due date for the Department of Justice to release each records connected to its investigation into Epstein.

"These new photographs pose further questions about exactly what the Department of Justice has in its possession," remarked the Democratic lead of the committee, Robert Garcia.

What's in the Photos Disclosed

Several of the images made public on this week feature Epstein speaking with professor and activist Noam Chomsky aboard a private jet; Bill Gates positioned alongside a woman whose identity is censored; Steve Bannon sitting at a table opposite Epstein, and ex- Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a evening meal.

These are the most recent high-net-worth, powerful figures to be pictured in Epstein's estate images released by the oversight panel - earlier disclosed pictures also include US President Donald Trump and ex-president Bill Clinton, as well as movie director Woody Allen, former US treasury secretary Larry Summers, attorney Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and others.

Showing up in the photographs is is not considered evidence of any wrongdoing, and several of the featured figures have stated they were never involved in Epstein's criminal activity.

In a announcement released with the photograph release, Lawmakers on the US House Oversight Committee noted the Epstein estate's representatives did not supply context or timeframes for the images.

"Photographs were selected to furnish the American people with clarity into a representative sample of the photographs obtained from the holdings, and to provide perspectives into Epstein's associates and his profoundly troubling actions," the statement states.

The release also contains a number of photographs of excerpts from the Vladimir Nabokov novel Lolita penned in ink across different parts of a female's body, such as her torso, feet, pelvis, and rear. Lolita narrates the account of a adolescent who was groomed by a adult literature professor.

One quote from the book written across a woman's chest says, "Lolita's name: the tip of the tongue traveling of three steps down the roof of the mouth to tap, at three, on the teeth".

There are also a number of photos of female passports and official papers from nations worldwide, such as Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

A large portion of the details on the IDs, like names and birth dates, is redacted but the committee stated in a announcement that the travel documents pertain to "women whom Jeffrey Epstein and his conspirators were interacting with".

An additional image shows Epstein seated at a desk closely flanked by three individuals whose identities have been redacted - one individual has her palm on Epstein's upper body under his shirt, and another is leaning to look at a nearby device. Epstein seems to be helping the third put on a wristband.

A further image released is a capture of digital messages from an unidentified person who claims they have been sent "several females" and are asking for "$one thousand dollars for each individual".

Photo Publication Comes Prior to DOJ Due Date

The committee has thousands of photographs in its possession from the Epstein estate, which are "at once explicit and mundane," its statement on Thursday noted.

The oversight panel first issued a subpoena to the estate of Epstein, who passed away in a New York jail in 2019 while pending legal proceedings on allegations of sex trafficking crimes, in August.

The photographs and documents the Epstein estate's representatives gave to the panel are different than what is largely called "the Epstein documents". That material are documents under the Department of Justice's control related to its separate inquiry into Epstein.

Under the recently passed law, which President Trump signed into law last month, the DOJ has a deadline of 19 December to release its documents. The extent of the contents contained in the DOJ's files is not publicly known, and it's likely that a significant portion of the material will be extensively obscured, akin to Congressional documents
