Loyal supporters of the actress are urging that a person who leaped a fence and touched the celebrity during the recent Wicked: For Good launch be detained or deported from Singapore.

A circulating clip depicts the individual from Australia bypassing media personnel and lunging at Grande while the cast made its way down a yellow carpet surrounded by onlookers.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo quickly guided the stunned actress away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being removed of the premiere by guards.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "free after being detained", though legal records revealed that he was due to be present on the following morning. It is unknown if he was faced legal action.

History of Event Invasions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Controversial Figure", has disrupted a concert or event. His Instagram profile features videos of him disturbing other high-profile occasions, including jumping on stage at Katy Perry's Sydney show in earlier this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers performance in the same location last year.

"Measures must be taken taken against him as this is evidently a criminal offence," commented an Instagram commenter, in a reply to a video Mr Wen shared of his act.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" another Instagram user remarked.

Fans Express Concern Over Grande's Safety

Many supporters criticized Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had discussed dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder after a suicide bomb attack at the end of her spring 2017 performance in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and injuring many.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" wrote a further response on Instagram.

Some attendees also faulted event staff at the premiere for not being vigilant enough; while others called for online networks to ban Mr Wen's videos.

Response and Premiere Information

In clips shared widely, Grande appeared surprised when she was grabbed by the man. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen comforting her while Mr Wen was removed by guards.

Grande has not commented on the situation, and the rest of the event proceeded as normal.

Numerous of fans had gathered in a crowd of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good international launch in a Singapore mall, including a number who had waited for as long as eight hours before it commenced.

The film, to be released on 21 November, is the sequel of a dual version of the acclaimed theatrical musical Wicked, which focuses on the unexpected relationship between two very different sorceresses.

The musical itself is a spin-off of the 1900 story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the good witch Glinda, was dressed in a light pink sparkling outfit at the premiere while Erivo, who plays the wicked witch, wore a elegant ensemble decorated with roses.

They were accompanied by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the top-earning film of 2024 in the UK, and scored 10 Oscar nominations, winning two for best costume and set decoration.
