The Gunners' ten-match victorious run came to an end by the Black Cats prior to the global break, but can the English top division frontrunners recover against local foes Spurs this weekend?
"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," remarked soccer expert Chris Sutton.
"Frank will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still find a way to win."

In the twelfth round, he takes on singer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.
The singer's latest album, the new release, is available on the weekend.
Football and Family Life
Olly is a skilled footballer as well as a successful artist and has been a star of multiple Soccer Aid games over time - but he is not intending a serious comeback as a footballer.
"{I recently played in a charity match the other night for a mate of mine," he explained. "My team was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!
"I still love football, but I injured my knee a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it seriously again.
"Plus I am 41 now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my daughter or son chooses to play instead."
The singer and his spouse Amelia Tank have a young family, their daughter and Albert, and he is ready to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their coach.
"I won't force football on our children but I've already told my wife that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be managing their Saturday football team," he said.
"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously was involved with a football club for a while too.
"My dad coached with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I inherited it. He managed our team for two or three seasons and had great fun with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"
Premier League Predictions
Weekend, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
The Blues might have to be patient for their star's return from fitness issues but their offense is now more potent with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.
In my opinion this fixture will be fairly tight, though. The Clarets are disciplined and their only home defeats so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.
It suggests a one-all draw to me, but I am in fact going to choose the London side to edge it for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.
Sutton's forecast: 1-2
Olly's prediction: The Blues will be superior. 1-3
AI's prediction: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Bournemouth have lost their previous couple matches - albeit both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.
In contrast, the Hammers won back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they appear strong again.
West Ham's only on the road win this season came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when West Ham manager Nuno was still Forest coach.
Therefore, what exactly do I go with here - can the Hammers continuing their run under their manager, or the home side responding?
I will choose the Cherries, because I believe what occurred against Villa was a anomaly.
Sutton's prediction: 2-0
Olly's outlook: The home team are performing strongly but West Ham have picked up under Nuno. 2-2
AI's pick: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Bees were considered one of the favourites for relegation before the season began, but they have impressed a few people under Keith Andrews and are in fine fettle with three in their last four games.
My son told me to get Bees striker Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks ago and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.
The forward will likely score again on the weekend but I am still not going to select him or support the away side at Amex Stadium.
They have not had great fortune on the travel this term, and the Seagulls are consistently strong at home. The visitors will try to attack on the counter-attack but I think Fabian Hurzeler's side carry much more of a danger.
Sutton's forecast: 2-1
The singer's prediction: This could be a match where you expect there is going to be a lot of goals but it actually turns out to be quite tight. 1-1
The computer's outcome: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
It is a huge fixture for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six games.
They have have lots of quality in their squad but it still feels like they could be dragged into a relegation fight.
As for Sunderland, well they are the unexpected success of the Premier League campaign so far.
Their display in the 2-2 tie with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We've not witnessed any other team disrupt the North London side like that this term, and they were more than a match for them.
The logical choice would be to back the Black Cats here, because they are obviously capable of roughing the hosts up too and, the last time they were in west London, they beat the Blues at the close of October.
However I am not do that. Rather, I truly need to carry on going against the away team with my forecasts. I am claiming a lot of credit for their good outcomes because they evidently love to defy my predictions.
Looking at the home side's at Craven Cottage form, the only side they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Their manager's side will be extremely desperate for a positive outcome, so I am going to say they will secure three points.
The expert's forecast: 1-0
The guest's choice: I know Sunderland are performing strongly and additionally that Fulham are on a bad run... but Fulham have still been decent at home this season. 2-0
AI's outlook: 2-0
- Anfield, 15:00 GMT
It is a tough fixture to call. The Reds have suffered seven of their past 10 matches in all competitions, but might they be one of the teams who profit from the {international break|
