The Streaming Giant Chooses Ideal Star for Bon Clay in the Hit Series Third Season
Baroque Works is geared up to exert significant influence in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, though the major clash won’t take place until season 3, and a beloved, audience-beloved member has now been chosen.
The streaming service revealed this week that the talented performer is now part of the One Piece cast for the third season and will embody Bon Clay. This character possesses the power to transform into an exact copy of any individual they’ve made contact with with their dominant hand. The actor, who is gender non-conforming and prefers they/them pronouns, will depict a version of that role reinterpreted as gender non-binary, instead of as a drag queen, in the live-action series, differing from the source material and animated series.
This performer joins several other recently announced actors set to bring the organization to the screen, such as leader the main antagonist, portrayed by the well-known actor, an emerging star as a key member, and an accomplished actor, who will appear as the lineup as the monarch of the fictional land.
Even though this character is a major member of Baroque Works, the character will be introduced in One Piece the third season. Given the next season set to cover the Little Garden segment, this signals a significant shift in the timing of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could indicate further changes to the plot development.
Their mix of excellent comedic sense and emotional depth makes them a ideal selection for the character. Besides their recent voice performance in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and several accolades for penning and acting in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, showcasing the adaptability they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s highly regarded figures.
The streaming service’s real-life One Piece show is set to return for its second season on March 10th, 2026.
