Three Athletes Named as Finalists for Young Sports Personality Prize

English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been selected as contenders for the 2025 Young Sports Personality of the Year award.
The three finalists have been recognised for their outstanding achievements over the last year.
Agyemang helped the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the maiden time, and Perrin rose to fame with a unprecedented innings.
Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his remarkable rise.
The finalists were unveiled on a popular morning radio program.
The champion will be revealed live on the annual sports awards show on the 18th of December.
The event will be broadcast from 19:00 GMT.
The Football Star

Just three months after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to winning the Euros.
She was introduced as a substitute to score crucial late equalisers in both the knockout stage games.
Her incredible contributions led to her being named the tournament's top young talent.
Afterwards, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the finest emerging star on the continent.
She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.
Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.
"Being on the shortlist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is incredible," said Agyemang. "I thank God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."
The Darts Prodigy

Littler's 2025 began in incredible form as - at just 17 years old - he became the earliest-ever winner in history.
He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His subsequent victory at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles.
He didn't stop there - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the maiden occasion.
At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, smashing the previous record.
"To receive a nomination for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a highlight for me and I've had another unbelievable 12 months. I want to continue raising the profile of darts."
The Cricket Sensation

Perrin is one of English cricket's brightest emerging stars and surged to prominence with an remarkable and historic innings in August.
Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.
It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.
Perrin finished second in the season's run tally and was named the Professional Cricketers' Association's top young women's player.
"I'm deeply humbled to be nominated for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it encourages more young women to get into cricket."
